Ryan was great. He was polite and very patient. He even remember my name. And he knew how to spell my name correctly when he calls me Desii. Kelly was super helpful filling me in on about an employee discount that I wasn’t aware of. And help get my money back after using the employee discount. Food was great. Quick and fast. And my boyfriend said 42 fry is just about the only place that don’t have flat soda in the soda machine.

Staff was very friendly and helpful! We came from out of town and stopped through for something to eat, Ryan helped us with our order and was awesome and personable food came out hot and fast! If you're stopping through and are looking for some great fried fish, this is the place to go! 10 out of 10!

The team at 42 Fry in Greenville NC helped me cater a bday party. The service at pickup was wonderful, the food even better. My family and friends happily enjoyed the whiting, hushpuppies, collards , fries and shrimp today!! I have been a fan of this business for a while and today just helped me double down on the appreciation. Thanks so much to the 42 Fry Greenville NC team!!

The highlight of 42 Fry was Olivia. When I walked in the door she had the biggest smile and was ready to take my order. She is definitely an asset to this business. I am a stickler for customer service and she went above and beyond. I hope she is acknowledged for her impeccable service. While visiting North Carolina I found this place. I wanted some catfish and shrimp. The food was mediocre. I ordered catfish and they gave me whiting. I wanted it fried hard and it wasn't. The serving size was plentiful. The macaroni and cheese was bland and the hush puppies were burnt. Overall I would not go back for the food.

The Stars are simply for the staff that I encountered in my visit. The service and the food were extraordinary!! I would've enjoyed it more if they were paid more than 8.50 hourly. Today was my first visit and gladly, there was a frequent swimmer (regular customer) who made a recommendation for the catfish and shrimp basket. You'll see why in the photos why I enjoyed it. The manager on staff, Kelly Jones & JT, the chef, both made my dining experience worth the trip. Because they are not compensated a quality of life wage, I will not return until they are paid more than 22 hourly. I don't make that decision however, it sickened me during the conversation that they earn 8.50 hourly. 8.50 is a deplorable wage for anyone in this economy. Thank you guys for being effervescent and a joy to experience today. No reply is necessary The "finance" customer.

The food was fantastic. It’s a mom & pop restaurant but the food is made to order. Fresh & hot. & the cinnamon butter for the hush puppies is a delight! I actually thought it was a sauce for my shrimp. Once I realized it was for my hush puppies babeee! So good! I never had that before but it was a delightful.

I came in today ( 6-16-25 ) around 11:30 am , I ordered two pieces of catfish ( I ate it so fast I didn't get a picture ) and it was AMAZING , fresh and hot , I was helped by a young lady by the name of Olivia.. she was very helpful and served me with a gracious smile and a warm and welcoming personality will DEFINITELY be coming back again .. and S/O to the cooks as well cause the food was delicious !!!
